What are the distances of the race?
The fifth edition of Ironman France will take place on 24 June 2012 and will cover:
Swim – 3.8 Km – 2.4 Miles
Bike – 180 Km – 112 Miles
Run – 42.2 km – 26.2 Miles
This makes a total distance of 226 Km – 140.6 Miles
Where can I get the event program?
The event program si described on our website in the part SPECTATORS > Hot spots.
During the race week, the program will be available at the Infos stand, in the IRONMAN France Expo Village.
What is the Ironman France Expo Village ?
The Expo Village is THE French Rendez-vous of the international Triathlon. Here the 2500 athletes come to register and to meet the exhibitors who came to get close to the athletes, discuss techniques or provide products for the final preparations for the race.
Each year, 40000 visitors discover the Triathlon world.
In the heart of Nice, the Expo Village will be opened from Thursday 21st to Monday 25th June.
What is the best place to watch the race and his competitors?
You could follow the Swim part up from the rows of seats located on the Promenade des Anglais. Giant screen and speakers will provide all the information: time, names …
Support the athletes during their bike race. Go to the Infos stand to have all information on the traffic
Come to applause the athletes during the Run circuit. Rows of seats are free to allow the maximum of people sharing the FinishLine’s privileged emotions!
NB : Access to the After Finishline area will be strictly forbidden to the spectators.
How follow my athlete during the Bike part?
You could go to key-points of the bike race. Go to the Info stand to have all information about traffic and roads access.
What could I do if my athlete is not at the meeting point that we agreed?
The access to the medical tents and After finishline area is strictly forbbiden to non competitors. If you wish to get some more information about race and competitors, go to the Info stand which have live information.
When will start the Ironkids’ race?
The Ironkids race will take place on the Promenade des Anglais,during the Bike part of the athletes, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
The IronKIDS is an aquathlon (Swim + Run) is reserved to the children from 8 to 15 years old.
When will start the Iron Girl’s race?
The Iron Girl race will take place on the Promenade des Anglais,during the Bike part of the athletes, from 09:00 am to 10:00 am.
The Iron Girl is a run race (only 5 km) reserved to the women from 15 years old.
